How do Korean/Asian actresses get Glowy skin on Camera!

Have you ever wonder why and how od Korean or Asian actresses get super nice skin and they don't even look like they're loaded with tons of makeup on?? Why do their skin look so dewy and glowy on camera? Do they really have good skin? Well, if you wanna know... Keep reading!

First of all, I'd like to emphasize that good skin starts with good diet, the right food and the right skin care regimen. There's no way that you can have pimples-free skin without washing your face with a cleanser at least once a day. There's no way that your skin condition will improve or be protected if you do not use your moisturizer and sunscreen daily.  Do, use facial masks every week! Yoon Eun Hye said that her secret to gorgeous skin is that, she just uses A LOT OF facial masks.

Now, go on to the makeup part....

First, make sure that you had your face cleaned with warm water and finished up with a splash of cold water to close the skin pores. You'd want to prep your skin nicely with an emollient moisturizer and a splash of facial water or toner to tighten the pores.

Next, to give your face an overall healthy shine. You can have a light foundation on if you wish, or simply just mix your liquid highlighter with your moisturizer. I really like the ones from Benefit High Beam and Nars Multiple. Use a stippling brush to apply them along the top of the cheekbones, on the temples, forehead, the bridge of the nose, the tip of your upper lip, and chin.

Use a cream blush, instead of powder blush because it delivers a more natural looking. Once when it is properly blended, you'll look like you have a very natural "flush" to your cheeks like you've just got back from the gym. It also depends on the amount that you use, too. All you really need to achieve this kinda "natural effortless" look is just a tiny amount, rice-sized. One rice-sized of cream blush on each cheek! Remember to rub your finger well to warm the formula before putting it on.

If you want, you can set with a thin layer of translucent powder using a big stippling brush or a big powder brush.

Next on, give your face an emphasis and a bit of contour using highlighter. Choose a good highlighter that has small fine particles. I really like the Dior highlighter and Bobbi Brown highlighter. MAC also has pretty good highlighter but they're more suitable for the night time or in a darker lighting. For outdoor or extremely bright lighting, I'd pick highlighters that is light and have fine particles.

Again, with a small stippling brush for precision, apply the highlighter along on the TOP of your cheekbones, a bit on the temples and forehead, along the bridge of your nose, a tiny bit on the tip of your upper lip, and finally a little bit on the chin.

This is truly the art of highlighting! By mastering the right highlighting technique, you can achieve the right glow. Your face shine at the right places, where it's supposed to without looking like you're having a "highlighter-attack."

A super natural look in Asian culture means no visible trace of eyeliner or eyeshadows. But without eyeliners, how can the eyes look awake and more defined?

The trick is to "tight-line." What it means is that use a black eyeshadow and with a flat eyeliner brush, apply it under your lash line of your upper lid. You'd have to lift your eye up a bit in order to do this. Next, apply another coat of "tight-liner" using either a black or brown gel, cream or pencil liner. With the same technique, apply right over it to define your eyes and bring them to life even more.

More importantly, contact lenses play a big part in "awakening" your eyes and in general your whole look. Whether you're wearing the the brown or black lenses, the 15mm base or 14.2 or 14.0 or 13.0, they do make a huge different! And, I'm pretty sure most Korean/Asian actresses wear these kind of lenses to enhance their eyes. They may not look obvious because the ones that they chose to wear could be only 14.0 or so. Therefore, giving a more natural look and nobody can tell that they're wearing them.

Choose a very light eyeshadow such as a peachy color that is the closest to your skin tone or a light pink color and apply it right on your lid. Bring it up a little bit above your crease line, just enough so when your eyes are opened you still can see it a bit. The purpose of doing this is to deliver a natural effortless look  and that the eyes are still enhanced without using a lot of makeup.

Make sure that your eyebrows are straight and thick to give that young and youthful look. Skinny archy brows will only add years to your face. They help to shape your whole face, so pay a special attention to them and groom them properly.
